From the crowds at the Moscone Center here in San Francisco, you wouldn't know that the opening keynotes were tomorrow morning. The first day of events here at the RSA Conference 2016 has been an eventful one!
From the DevOps Connect: Rugged DevOps sessions to the Innovation Sandbox competition, Monday's sessions and events are in no way on the conference's fringes. They offer a vibrant and interesting array of fun and educational opportunities for everyone. Many attendees enjoyed the TCG: Securing the IoT with Trusted Computing session, and more conversations about the Internet of Things are sure to dominate this week. And don't miss the Cyber Safety Village in Moscone West.
This year's Innovation Sandbox competition had an excellent, highly-competitive lineup of companies all vying for the prize, which was ultimately won by Phantom, creator of a community-powered security automation and orchestration platform. Be sure to check out our blog for a complete report on the competition.
Tuesday morning, RSA President Amit Yoran will kick off the conference with his opening keynote at 8:10 a.m. in the Esplanade Ballroom, The Sleeper Awakes, which you definitely don't want to miss. If you're not able to get into the keynote presentations, they will be broadcast on Level 3 of Moscone West on Tuesday morning as well. The Cryptographer's Panel is scheduled to begin at 9:50 a.m. in the Esplanade Ballroom.
There are also Peer2Peer and Crowdsourced sessions you'll want to check out, and the CyBEER Ops craft beer-tasting party starts at 4:30 p.m. in The Viewing Point at Gateway in Moscone South.
And remember, wear comfortable shoes. There are some 500 vendors in the Expo floors, which means you'll be walking quite a bit.
