Tanvi Vyas is a Tech Lead at Mozilla, specializing in Security and Privacy User Experience. In this role, she leads the development of usable security and privacy features in Firefox, working on implementation, product requirements, user research, and design. Most recently, she is known for creating an identity segregation system in Firefox called Containers, where a user can wear multiple online hats without being tracked across them, all within a single browser window. Before joining Mozilla, Tanvi was a Paranoid at Yahoo!, improving the security of Yahoo websites and infrastructure. Tanvi is also an active member of the W3C Web Application Security Working Group, defining new web platform features that developers can adopt in order to build security into their sites by default.
