Susan Landau is Professor of Cybersecurity Policy and Professor of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and has been a Senior Staff Privacy Analyst at Google and Distinguished Engineer at Sun; she works at the intersection of cybersecurity, national security, law and policy. Landau has testified before Congress and frequently briefs US and European policymakers on encryption, surveillance and cybersecurity issues. She is the Author of the forthcoming Listening In: Cybersecurity in an Insecure Age, Author of Surveillance or Security? The Risks Posed by New Wiretapping Technologies and Co-Author, with Whitfield Diffie, of Privacy on the Line: The Politics of Wiretapping and Encryption. Landau holds a B.A. from Princeton, her M.S. from Cornell and her Ph.D. from MIT.
