Steven W. Teppler currently chairs the privacy and cybersecurity practice at Mandelbaum Salsburg. Prior to that he chaired the complex litigation practice at a Florida litigation boutique in Jacksonville, FL. Teppler’s interest in electronic discovery, digital evidence integrity and cybersecurity arose from his participation as co-counsel in an actual litigation matter, and in which the integrity of computer generated information was challenged. He holds six patents involving the generation of trusted data objects using robust cryptographic processes, and proudly bears the scars of a failed tech startup. Teppler also teaches information security at the University of South Florida. He grew up in New York City and relocated to Florida in 2003.
