Firmware Security Architect, Dell

Richard Tonry is a hardware and firmware engineer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. During the first half of Tonry’s career, he gained extensive experience as an Electrical Engineer designing motherboards for Dell’s Client portfolio. Tonry transitioned to a BIOS development role in 2007. Since then, he has become the Lead Security Developer and now a Security Architect. As the BIOS / Firmware Security Architect for Dell’s Client products, Tonry provided the architecture of key strategic security initiatives. Tonry is also the Client Firmware Security Advisor, helping to drive security maturity initiative, and Secure Development Lifecycle integration into firmware development processes, as well as being an integral developer of CSG’s Security Champion Program.
