Eric Rosenbach is Co-Director of Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and a Kennedy School Public Policy Lecturer. He served as Pentagon Chief of Staff from 2015 to 2017 and previously as Assistant Secretary of Defense responsible for cyber and other areas of key defense policy. In the private sector, Rosenbach was Chief Security Officer for a large European telecommunications firm and led cybersecurity efforts for a global management consulting firm where he advised Fortune 500 executives on risk mitigation. Rosenbach is a former Army Intelligence Officer and commanded a telecommunications intelligence unit. A Fulbright Scholar with a JD from Georgetown, MPP from Harvard and BA from Davidson College, he has written several books on national security.
