Gardens by the Bay
Singapore’s new icon, a 101-hectare horticultural attraction, certainly seems to be the nation’s most beautiful with more than 380 thousand plants in huge domed conservatories. Less than a five-minute walk from Marina Bay, the Gardens is split into three waterfront spaces: Bay South, Bay East, and Bay Central, which connects the first two.

Merlion Park
Spotting this archetypal symbol of Singapore is easy when you're in the vicinity of the Merlion Park and One Fullerton. The body symbolises Singapore's humble beginnings as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, meaning 'sea town' in Old Javanese. Its head represents Singapore’s original name, Singapura, or ‘lion city’ in Malay. You can glimpse this legend at Merlion Park. Spouting water from its mouth, the Merlion statue stands tall at 8.6 metres and weighs 70 tonnes.

Reflecting Singapore’s unique heritage and geographical location, the Gallery will feature Singapore and Southeast Asian art in its long-term and special exhibitions. It will also work with leading museums worldwide to co-present Southeast Asian art in a wider context, positioning Singapore as a regional and international hub for the visual arts.

Each flight lasts 30 minutes and on a clear day the panorama from the top of the wheel stretches into neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia.
