Lucy Thomson, Esq., CISSP, focuses her legal practice on cybersecurity, global data privacy, and compliance and risk management and helps clients secure data and critical infrastructure. She has addressed security problems with voting equipment during key US elections. A career Justice Department White Collar Crime Prosecutor, she subsequently worked as a Senior Engineer at CSC, a global technology company. Appointed Consumer Privacy Ombudsman in 27 federal bankruptcy cases, she has overseen the sale of 250 million consumer records. Past Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Science & Technology Law, she is a member of the Cybersecurity Legal Task Force and co-editor of the new ABA IoT book. She earned a master’s degree from RPI and holds a JD degree from Georgetown.
